    The design eventually chosen was based on the original chapel and was intended to recapture the austerity,simplicity and atmosphere, as well as the size and shape, of the wartime huts.This is why the chapel we know today .

  • THE SANCTUARY Either side of the altar are 6 panels of the reredos

    On these panels are recorded the names of 453 aircrew who lost their lives on operations from airfields in the Biggin Hill sector during the Second World War.
